Where Am I Sitting?

Are you sitting in a place where you have no clue about your future, your present, your past?  Many of us may be sitting in a place where we are clueless.  How do I get out?  You ask?  In every situation or circumstance we must weigh our options, then ask ourselves; how did I reach this place?  The average believer is usually sitting in various places, because they move out of emotions.  Not asking nor trusting and waiting on the Lord.  (Proverbs 3:5)

Often, we read God’s Holy Bible, without exercising the Word once challenges arise.  The children of Israel had the Word in the wilderness but did not add faith and died in the wilderness.  (Hebrews 4:2)  Currently, the world (the unsaved) has become on lookers as Christians live among them.  They watch to see if our God can keep us in all situations.  Believers or shall I say so called believers are saying yes with their lips, but their hearts are far away from Complete Surrender.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, telling them to walk worthy of God who has called them into His Kingdom and Glory (I Thessalonians 2:12).  God’s children whom He has chosen, which He foreknew, predestined, to be conformed to the image of His Son, whom also He has called, justified and glorified (Romans 8:29-30).  Let us not become Jonah, only obeying once He found himself in the belly of the big fish; then he prayed (Jonah 1:17; 2:1).  My fellow brothers and sisters; we are to always put Jesus first, not our religious ways or our preaching, teaching or ministry.  We must look to Jesus the Christ.  Jesus explained to the religious rulers of their errors.

Let us not move until we have God’s direction, let not our lips speak until we speak God’s Word.  Where we are sitting can easily be changed if we would understand our true reasons for sitting there (Jonah 4:6-11).  Jonah was in open disobedience causing others to be effective by his disobedience, however; (Job 1:6, 8) tells us that Job was being boastful regarding the place he was sitting.  He was in God’s perfect will and was experiencing God’s overflow of blessings in his life.  Keep in mind everything works together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called for His purpose (Romans 8:28).  Let us take a close look at our Lord hanging on the cross while people mocked him.  A thief throwing insults and in the midst of His worse time, He did His greatest work!  During that time He opened the door of Salvation to a thief while bleeding, nails in His hands and feet, a crown of thorns on His head; our Lord never allowed His circumstance to control Him or prevent Him from carrying out His predestined assignment.

The Father was pleased to see his Son suffer, because He know that by one man’s suffering, so many more would be Saved!  Perhaps where you are sitting is God boasting on you and preparing you to bring many souls to the Kingdom of Heaven.  I leave you with these words, know first and foremost that while you are sitting, that the Lord is doing a much greater work inside that will manifest as you seek Him and wait on His direction.

Continue to Stand!  When you can’t take anymore….continue to Stand!  When you’ve done all you can do Stand!

Word Out!
